I recently did this to my controller and it worked fine. It's pretty standard. One gripe I had is the seller neglected to mention that a Dremel would be necessary as well as a hot glue gun. For the buttons you are going to have to take a Dremel and hollow them out. Other than that it's pretty standard. I should also note that in the instructions it is specified to use a Phillips Screwdriver to open your controller. That is retarded, this will strip the screws. You need a TORX 8 screwdriver. Also note that there is one screw hidden under the battery pack. The mod looks pretty cool, but for the installation you really need a steady hand. This kit isn't for everyone. It requires a decent amount of precision with a dremel, and a soldering iron.
I think it's safe to assume that half of the people that purchase this mod don't actually use it.

This is an awsome charge base with two charge packs. It is true that you have to use they're charge packs. It is also true that I have not had this charge base too long, but I absolutley love it. It is a great place to store your controller or controllers. The controller fits snugly in the charge base. Also, the lights in front of the charge base light up the color red when the pack is charging. When the pack is charged the light turns green. When the pack is fully charged, the light turns off.
I use my controller for the xbox 360 and the computer. When ever I set the controller down, I usually set it on the base and it continues to charge. Great Product.

Xbox 360 NFL Pittsburgh Steelers Controller

As a Steeler fan, it is nice to play Madden with my Team's Gear. However, the right and left sticks are real smooth not giving as much comfort as the original controller. I have only seen these in the corded version. A wireless version with better stick surfaces would be a huge upgrade. Overall, nice controller.

i bought this item as a cheap alternative to buying a 5th 360 controller, just so they all wouldnt be white. it came package with the tools necessary to take apart the controller. thats about the only plus. there were just pictures for instructions. just remember if you buy this the 7th screw is in the battery compatrment behind the sticker(took me a few minutes to figure that out. as for the build quality, its solid, but the probem is none of the holes are threaded. also on mine, the d-pad just doesnt want to sit right and seems to have too much play. bottom line is spend your money eslewhere.

First off I should say is thr controlers CAN NOT use Microsoft's rechargable batteries. Yhe controlers kill batteries fast so make sure to buy a pack of batteries. Since a bought it, I haven't had to much hate mail(xbox live) but I have had a few, it seems not that many people know about them. the only game this product is good for is COD4. At random time of the game, the gun will fire one bullet without me pressing the button.

I have had a battery for my white controller for several years and havn't had any problems. I bought a pink controller and i didn't use it for a few weeks and it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. So i bought another one which i uses on a more regular basis, and it stopped holding a charge and it's only been a few months. I kept it plugged up for like a day, and it starting working again like normal. It worked for about two weeks and now it won't charge again. I can keep it plugged up for hours and as soon as i unplug it it cuts off. I would give my white battery pack five stars, but the pink one is junk.

Overall this is a decent product. I purchased two of them for both of my controlers and it has a great grip to it and can be used as a protector when the controller gets dropped. The problem with these sleeves is that if you want to use a chatpad on it, it's nearly impossible. Therefore you have to take off the sleeve, put on the chatpad then later put on the sleeve. Maybe there is someway around this buy cutting some of the sleeve but I know that it's definitely a minus when it comes to that.
